Over the years Mactra have fitted stores for Lifestyle Express & Premier of which we are a preferred supplier along with Londis, Costcutter, Spar and other symbol group retailers that insist on using Mactra as their shopfitter rather than the one recommended by their group. As well as the symbol groups there are large numbers of retailers who want to hold onto their independence but don't want to lose the benefits of being part of a group. Mactra advise independents on the best layout or their store to maximise their profits and footfall. This also involves working to the specification of the brand and maintaining standards.

Mactra Shop Equipment & Fittings was created in 1991 by Jim & Ann MacDonald. They started by buying and selling second hand shelving. This then developed into refitting shops with a team of skilled carpenters with the option of using second hand shelving to bring the cost down. In 2010 Liz, Jim & Ann's daughter joined the family business and along with Jim & Ann continues to high standard of refit which Mactra have always aimed for.
